Video Review

“Hello everybody, Dave Seda here. Today we’re gonna be reviewing another screen protector. I’ve been using the Matte screen protector on my Nexus 7 here for a long time when I go out flying. It did pretty well with diffusing the light under a sunshade. I was approached by a company by the name of NuShield and they wanted to send me a DayVue version of their screen protector. They also make matte and regular screen protectors for your devices, but the DayVue is very intriguing because it helps with a lot of devices during the daytime. So that’s what we’re gonna look at today.

Here I have my Galaxy tablet without a screen protector on it at all and here’s the Nexus 7 with the Nushield Dayvue screen protector. You notice I have a pair of polarized sunglasses here. Apparently, believe it or not, which was really great to hear, this screen protector works better when you’re wearing a pair of polarized sunglasses. All in all we’re gonna see how well it does with and without it. Ok? here we go.

So the first thing we’re gonna take a look at is the Galaxy tablet. Alright there I am, behind. This is the tablet at full brightness. Once I get up into the sky there you can hardly see it. Obviously that’d be the angle that you’re flying at, why I always recommend having a sunshade. And this is again no screen protector, screen is on, maximum brightness on the tablet.

Now this is my Nexus 7 with the NuShield DayVue screen protector. Now the first thing I notice right out of the box is that the screen protector is glossy so you can see that and its a fingerprint magnet. But actually holds up pretty well to scratching comparatively to my matte. But the magic really happens when you have the screen on here. If you notice comparative to the Samsung even when I point it up to the sky you can actually still see it perfectly clear. I don’t know how well of a job my camera’s gonna do at exposing that. With my eyes you can see it very, very well. It definitely does cut down on the glare.

So I was a little skeptical at first when I opened up the packaging. Great instructions, really easy to put on, but I opened it up and I put it on and once I pulled back that top layer I realized that it’s not matte, how is it gonna reflect? Apparently they use some sort of technology where it refracts the light, does even better with polarized sunglasses. I’m gonna hop behind change my aperture settings and I’m gonna put my polarized sunglasses in front of the lens.

So lets go ahead and just drop these shades over. You can see that, I mean, no matter which angle you look at it just takes away from everything and you can see perfectly clear in the middle of the daytime with no glare, no issue and its really, really awesome. And that’s all I have to show you. Hopefully the polarized is getting a good read out here. I’m trying to show you every angle. That’s actually pointed right up at the sky and you can still see it perfectly clearly.

So, all in all, with the polarized lenses, being able to fly on a sunny day, cutting down the sun getting into your eyes and being able to see your screen – amazing. I would absolutely recommend this to everybody, I’ll put the link in the description below. I put it on and I can tell you I won’t be taking it off to be replacing it with anything because I’ve had nothing but a great experience with this and I think you will too. And the only con that I have with this is that it’s a fingerprint magnet, but you’re not gonna see it when your screen’s on. You pair this with a sunshade of your choice and your flying experience during bright sunny days is fantastic. If you’re gonna put an ND filter on your drone lens and you’re not wearing sunglasses and you have to squint to see the screen I mean it kind of defeats the purpose. So now you’re gonna get the screen crystal clear, with sunglasses, getting perfect vision of your flight.

I hope you enjoyed this video. If it’s helped you in any way, like, comment and subscribe and I’ll catch you on the next one. Thanks for watching.”
