Bensalem, Pa. – PC users who plan to install Windows 7 on their computer and use the Touch Pack software suite are strongly encouraged to purchase a NuShield screen protector overlay film to protect the LCD display from oily fingerprints and possible scratches caused by fingernails or jewelry. The film will also protect the display from dead zones caused by constant touch in specific areas on the screen.
NuShield offers two different types of film depending on your application:
NuShield DayVue is ideally suited for use in indirect outdoor light where sun glare interferes with the clear viewing of the LCD screen. The film has a slight adhesive backing which holds it to the screen and installs without leaving bubbles. This allows for installation on flat LCD screen surfaces. The film filters out 99% of UV light from reaching the screen or reflecting back to the eyes. The NuShield film is also abrasion and chemical resistant and provides a high degree of clarity. The film has an anti-fingerprint layer that makes cleaning the surface easier and improves scratch resistance. DayVue is currently used on cell phones, iPhones, iPod Touch, digital cameras, PC tablets, auto GPS systems and other consumer or industrial electronic devices. The NuShield DayVue film is available in sizes up to 50” diagonal.
NuShield AG is an antiglare film that is ideally suited for use indoors where it minimizes reflections from overhead lighting and improve viewing angles. The film has a very high scratch resistance (can withstand hard steel wool rubs), excellent solvent resistance and good clarity. The NuShield AG has non-adhesive backing and it installs by either slipping a slightly oversized film into the open space between the screen and the casing or on sealed screens, using a 3/16” clear adhesive tape around the perimeter of the film. The NuShield AG film is available in sizes up to 50” diagonal.
Both NuShield films have been designed to work with LCD screens for an extended period of time without any distortion to the image. NuShield is made of a super thin, durable plastic manufactured using a patented technology that provides extended protection against dust, scratches and gouges.
NuShield Inc., based in Bensalem, PA, has been the leading provider of screen protectors for LCD touch screens used in electronic devices since 1998 and is sold directly to consumers on its website or through distributors worldwide.
